  • When will you be making your pro debut?
I probably get asked this question at least once a day. The first answer I want to give you is when I'm sure I'll make a statement on stage , But, the truth is I'm getting ready for the Tampa Bay Pro show in July 2010. Obviously, beside the obvious mental and physical prep, I need money to cover the travelling expenses, which is the hardest part of all, feel like helping?.

About Greg Ulysse

At the age of 13 (on July 14th, 1987), my mom paid for my 1st membership in a gym. It was called Spa of St-Leonard. She thought it was a summer fling! That fling has been lasting for over 20 years.

I was always fascinated by superheroes: Superman, Batman, Spiderman just to name a few and I was and still am a big wrestling fan too: Hulk Hogan, The Road Warriors, Superstar Billy Graham and the Ultimate Warrior were big role models for me. By the age of 12, I saw my 1st bodybuilding show (Mr. Montréal 1986) and I wanted to look like all these guys on stage. I don't really have a favorite bodybuilders, I'm mostly in love with the look of the mid-80's and late-90s: Kevin Levrone, Flex Wheeler, Vince Taylor, and Dexter Jackson. I especially love Tom Platz (the original Quadrasaurus).

The most important thing that I learned in this sport is that you need to be dedicated, patient, have a lot of heart and have a great support system (friends, family that encourages you to go beyond your limits. Bodybuilding has the reputation of being an individual sport, but you need a great team behind you to be successful. At the same time, you can't let bodybuilding rule your life. Don't get me wrong, I love my sport, but like the old saying goes every choice has it's consequences.

Training and dieting come easy for me because I always push myself to be better. If my life would be like my career in bodybuilding I'd be rich. lol. The hard thing for me is when I've got no show in sight. I tend to loose my focus a bit, but 8 months before; the eye of the tiger comes back. My life is structured and my goal is precise: win, win, and win!

Bodybuilding has been a lifelong passion and I want to continue to share my love of the sport with all my supporters, clients and especially to my son who plays football now.
